An author website for the debut fantasy novel by Gertie Hoatzsel
Context
“Sophie and the Purple Goldbeak” is a debut fantasy novel for readers 10+, published by Wydawnictwo Poligraf. After launch, the site serves as a complete author platform for the world of Dortyk and guides readers directly to purchase.
Problem
The publisher needed one place for the launch and ongoing sales — bringing the story, trailers, press materials and purchase links into one coherent narrative instead of scattering readers across social media.
Solution
A fairy-tale, forest atmosphere with ornaments and illustrations matching the book's world. Sections: about the book, video trailers, a “hidden world” with excerpt teasers, reviews and press, about the author, and “where to buy” with links to Świat Książki, Allegro and Ebookpoint.
My role (end-to-end)
UX/UI, Next.js development, integration of sales links and social media, a news section, production deployment.
